The Old North Church, North End, Boston
Three cool things about this photo: the purple sky is real– it is just after sunset and still snowing, and the sky was this beautiful purple color. It was around 5 pm on a weekday, so there were alot of people walking down The Prado (the Mall). You don’t see them because it is a long exposure, and anything moving in a long exposure doesn’t show up on the film. And– the light is on! The light in the steeple isn’t often on. I know the people who work at the church, because I sell my photos in their gift shop and I have done some photo work for them. Howard climbed all the steps to put the light on for me, which really makes this photo special.
